8/1 Sunset Painting
Enjoy the summer evening at MOCA's Sunset Plein Air painting class (BYOB Optional)! Stationed on the front lawn, set up your easel and paint from life or follow along with the instructor to complete a guided painting.
8/2 All that Jazz
Prepare to be razzle-dazzled as the Fairfield Teen theater presents 'Chicago'. Musical performances are this weekend (8/2 - 8/4) and next (8/9 - 8/11) at Fairfield Woods Middle School.
8/3 Treasure Hunt
Seek treasures at 20 different homes throughout Southport and Fairfield today. Purchase items — the proceeds will help Operation Hope in their mission to end homelessness and hunger!

The SONO Arts Festival is happening this weekend, Saturday & Sunday from 10am - 5 pm. Enjoy live music, food & activities amid the art in the historic district of South Norwalk.

Get out on the water! Westport's Longshore Sailing School offers rentals - catamarans, kayaks, paddle boards, even "Bugs" for novices. DId you know they run weekend classes for adults too?
8/6 Marvel-ous
Catch this blockbuster at the iconic theater in downtown Fairfield, the SHU Community Theatre. Need a refresher on the backstory? Click on photo above! Showtimes 4pm and 7pm daily through August 15th.
8/7 Wilton Wednesdays
The Wednesday Farmers' Market in Wilton is a perfect mid-week adventure. Berries for pies, veggies for dinner, flowers for the table. Get ready for the weekend! Noon - 5pm.
8/8 Sand Jam
Kung Fu Panda 4 plays tonight on the beach in Fairfield. Part of the Sand Jam series, a traditional pre-movie dance party with a DJ kicks off the night. Bring a picnic dinner or some snacks to enjoy the show!

8/12 Monday Maze
Sunflowers = August and Lyman Orchards has 350,000 of them, grown in a shaped maze. Wander the nearly one mile of paths, with trivia questions providing hints of which way to go.
8/13 Mario Cart
Details to be finalized but Elicit Brewing in Fairfield is holding a SMASH Ultimate Tournament! Not a gamer? You'll still enjoy a visit to Elicit. They've created an unique venue — brewery, beer hall, cocktail bar, lounge, game room, restaurant, and much more.
8/14 Star Party
If the night is clear, come examine the wonders of the night sky at the Westport Observatory. They offer weekly (Wednesday) observing sessions from 8 - 10pm, free to the public.
8/15 Fun & Games
Spend a morning in the 1940s! Play with toys from the era, type on a typewriter, dial a rotary phone, listen to an old radio show, and learn about life as a child during this interesting time in history. Weston History Center.
8/16 Jazzy Fridays
Triple Bock is a Connecticut-based band made up of local musicians. Bring your own picnic and blankets/chairs and get ready for a wonderful evening on the grounds of the Fairfield Museum.
8/17 Cosmic Jibaros
Music in the Meadows. Cosmic Jibaros bring their electrifying performance — blending Rock, Puerto Rican roots, Caribbean beats, and global elements, to Lachat Town Farm tonight.
8/18 Storytelling
In partnership with Northeast Storytelling, join a community of storytellers and listeners at the Westport Library. Come to share or to listen! Who knows, you may be inspired!
8/19 M & Ms
Alice Ely, a master gardener, will be at Wakeman Town Farm this evening discussing how to raise multitudes of Milkweed and Monarchs. A beautiful and essential part of our ecosystem!
8/20 Taco Tuesday
Tucked away in Fairfield's Heritage Square shopping center you will find a great eatery. Bodega serves "modern Mexican with an urban beach vibe" and some pretty great drinks too. Make it Taco Tuesday & enjoy their all-day specials!
8/21 For those 60+
Today, the Aldrich Contemporary Museum of Art is offering a gallery tour of highlighted works, for those over the age of 60. The tour, guided by Education Specialist Holly Lapine, will venture into the exhibits featuring artists: Loie Hollowell, Layo Bright and Elizabeth Englander.
8/22 Fall Planting
Learn why September is actually the best time to add native perennials to your garden and get practical tips for ensuring plant establishment late in the season. Shanyn Siegel, owner of Tiny Meadow Farm in Danbury leads this conversational program.

Chris Fuller, a "fugitive" from the pro golf tour, takes the audience on his journey to wellness tonight at the Westport Playhouse. Be ready for laughter and tears as he delves deep into his hopes, dreams, disappointments and memories.

8/24 Gardens Galore

InSitu is open to visitors today (10am - 4pm) as part of the Garden Conservancy Program. Nestled in the Redding countryside, this property showcases 27 garden rooms where horticulture, architecture, and sculpture are harmoniously woven together. A delight!
8/25 Shore Line Trolley
Journey into the past for this Sunday adventure. Volunteer trolley operators will guide you through the oldest suburban street railway in the U.S. You'll ride an antique trolley car and be able to explore dozen of others at this museum in East Haven, CT
8/26 Hit the Beach
The weather is still going strong. Spend today at the beach before school begins tomorrow. From its amazing playground, to courts, surf & sand, Compo is the place to be for Westporters. Click image above for more amazing neighboring beaches.
8/27 Celebrate!?
It's the first day of school. Whether that is cause for celebration or tears, ice cream is in order. Try Westport's latest creamery, MOMU, where the ice cream is made in-house with locally sourced ingredients.
8/28 Take a Hike
Now that the kids are in school, grab a friend and take a beach walk! The Sherwood Island Trail is officially 2.9 miles, but there are plenty of alternative paths, leading you through wooded preserves, along the sandy beach and across grassy picnic areas.
8/29 Bubble Palozza
A fan favorite returns to Stepping Stones to close out its summer programs. Enjoy non-stop bubbles in art prjects and experiments plus special, messy foam parties in the Celebration Courtyard. A change of clothes is highly recommended!
8/30 Farm Fridays
At Weston's Lachat Town Farm, monthly Friday evening markets have become legendary. The best is yet to come as tonight's live music features Logic Pretzel, with KMS' David Weber on the drums! Food, fun & friends await — join us from 4 - 8pm.
8/31 Juried Art Show, Artisanal Crafts & More!
