There’s a lot to love about Fairfield. It’s diverse, dynamic, and drawing plenty of attention. It's home to two universities, which add to the local economy and the vibrancy of the town.
Among the biggest attractions: Fairfield’s dining scene. From sit-down to takeout, Italian to Asian, indoors and out, you’ll eat well all over town.
348 Oyster Bar — Modern and contemporary seafood, with a Mediterranean flair.
Artisan — New England-inspired, farm-to-table restaurant at the boutique Delamar Hotel in Southport. You don’t have to reserve a room to dine in style!
Aurora’s — Mediterranean style cuisine. Fresh fish bought daily, homemade pastas, soups, and gelato; hand-crafted cocktails and fine wine.
Blackstone's Grille — Signature steakhouse, casual dining and a welcome bar, near the Westport line.
Bodega Taco Bar — It’s simple, they say: “We do our own thing. And everything tastes better in a tortilla.”
Bonda — Greenfield Hill’s meeting spot for family and friends.
Brick + Wood — Inspired by Italian street foods and wood-fired pizza ovens; old school comfort food wrapped in a contemporary vibe. Check out the mozzarella bar too!
Brickwalk Tavern — In the heart of downtown, with a special Chef’s Room to reserve for a themed dinner or multi-course tasting menu.
Café Transilvania — For something completely different: soups, meats, sausages, salads, cheeses and desserts, all from Romania and Eastern Europe.
Centro — A classic and longtime Italian favorite in downtown Fairfield. Authentic, and always great.
The Chelsea — Innovative spins on classic dishes.

Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill — Santa Fe’s tacos, chile, frybread, quesadillas and the largest selection of tequila on the East Coast.
The Grey Goose Café — Like Southport, this spot mixes New England’s legacy with New York sophistication. A mix of neighborly conviviality with British pub spirit. An easy spot to meet.
Gruel Britannia — The ultimate in British comfort food – straight from a personal chef who used to work for Michael Bolton.
Liana’s Trattoria — Compact and unassuming – but great gnocchi, meat dishes and other traditional plates, in a bustling spot.
Little Goose — A gastro-pub highlighting indigenous local and American ingredients. Great for pre- and post-movie nights (as soon as that comes back!).
Little Pub — Fairfield’s own cheers. A Black Rock Turnpike place where you’ll always find friends, and the foods you love.
Local Kitchen & Beer Bar — Thirty craft beers top the formidable menu
Malibu — The coastal California vibe comes to downtown Fairfield. Of course, there’s an outdoor patio to hang out in.
Martel — A small, welcoming French-style brasserie. Diners linger here for hours.
